Endurance Run Club Goes to TAHOE RIM TO RIM on July 19th

Rachel at Worlds:

Hello faithful followers! I had a great race in Vancouver! We were one of the only waves that actually got to swim! The water was much like the bay here in San Francisco! We had a platform start on the beach and did a great water entrance for the start. I was definitely feeling well in the swim, but that doesn't mean much at this level. I came out of the water in the top half. Transition went pretty smooth, I was able to move up a few spots right there. Coming out of T1 was a big mess for most of the girls, way to narrow and slower age groupers in the way. Out on the bike course was way fun. The groups kept packing up and we were warned about drafting a lot. I have a sweet ride (thanks to the dudes at GURU and Bike RX in Mill Valley) and I was going sickening fast on the bike. Moving up about 25 spots here. This felt so good that I had to smash the run. My run was solid and I could not slow down, passed a few more here. I kept the moderate/fast pace for the first 5K and definitely felt way strong on the last half. I was even able to do a sprint finish to beat a girl by 2 seconds! ROCK ON. Results are out, but not correct. I will tell you how I placed soon. Recovery has gone so well. I was running again by Monday and will start really training my run. I want to beat a 37 minute 10K this year in an event.
